Cyborg 009: Nemesis, an anime based on the iconic manga by Shōtarō Ishinomori, is set to debut on July 19th. The story revolves around a global organization called Black Ghost, which aims to plunge the world into eternal war. They capture nine individuals and transform them into cyborg soldiers, but the cyborgs rebel and fight against Black Ghost. The anime's main character, Joe Shimamura/Cyborg 009, is voiced by Yūki Kaji. The other 00 Cyborgs are voiced by Yuu Hayashi, Kentarō Tone, Mitsuaki Kanuka, Hiroki Yasumoto, Tomokazu Sugita, Saori Hayami, Mamoru Miyano, and Junko Minagawa. The anime's staff includes director Hideki Ambo, screenplay writers Atsuhiro Tomioka and CHARATEX, and character designer sanorin. The theme song, "Taga Tame ni" (For Whom), is performed by Kyōko from the rock band Barbee Boys, originally used in the 1979 Cyborg 009 television anime series.
